ABS is key to brewing process

A selection of our pipe, fittings and valves have been installed into Oakham Ales Brewery in Peterborough, to meet the pipework requirements of the brewery.

The new brewery, which has been constructed on the site of an old engineering workshop, required a pipework system that could keep the liquor cool, whilst transporting it through the brewing process. As a result, Astore ABS pipework from 0.5″ up to 4″, including ball valves and solvent welded fittings, has been installed throughout the brewery.

Our product range was selected because its high quality thermoplastic construction met the performance and budgetary needs of the project. The lightweight material of the Astore ABS pipework system offered a cost-effective, easy to install option, which helped to reduce overall labour time and costs on site.

Hygiene and safety was also a major priority for the brewery and it was essential that the system specified could offer high health and safety standards whilst carrying the various products used in the brewing process. Our ABS system is UK Water Regulations Advisory Scheme Approved, making it the ideal solution.
